Intern or Apprentice for Computer Repair Business

Job Description

I am looking for someone, one or two individuals who can learn my business with the intention of taking it over. I need someone that is a people person, friendly, common sense, honest, has good character and integrity. Someone that is willing to do right, even if it will cost him out of his pocket.

Good character is important, knowledge and experience isn't necessary, but helpful. Need to be clean cut, good hygiene, polite, not rude. Confident, but not arrogant.


Job will consist of learning all aspects of my business

  1. Front Counter
  2. Customer Service
  3. Housekeeping
  4. Phone & Tablet Repair
  5. Computer Repair
  6. Bookkeeping


Time Frame

  1. Open and Run the shop (front counter) – 2 Months
  2. Phone & Tablet Repair – 6 months
  3. Computer Repair – 1 to 2 years
  4. Run shop alone – 2 to 5 years


Apprenticeship

The person I select will start out by working the front counter and learning all the aspects of interacting with the customer. You will be responsible for receiving equipment for repair as well as receiving payments. You will also be responsible for customers picking up their equipment and paying as well as closing out repair tickets. You will not troubleshoot or fix any equipment until I say you can.

After you prove yourself at the front counter, You will be trained to do tablets and phone repair. Once you have learned and get proficient in phone & tablet repair, you will be trained in computer repair.


Background check will be required.
